A weather forecast service running over the Reticulum Network Stack via LXMF. Built and self-hosted as a demonstration of off-grid, decentralized messaging infrastructure.
Reticulum is a cryptography-based networking stack designed for reliable communication over any medium — LoRa, radio, serial, TCP/IP, or anything else. It works where the internet doesn't.
WeatherBuddy is a Python-based LXMF bot that subscribes users to National Weather Service forecasts delivered over Reticulum. Forecasts are pushed 2–4 times daily. The node runs in Docker on the same Ubuntu Server NUC hosting this site. The Micron page above is rendered client-side from the raw .mu markup file served by the node.
